Celestry and Novas Establish OEM Agreement
SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 27, 2001--Novas Software
Inc., the leader in debug systems for complex chip designs, and
Celestry Design Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of Silicon
Accurate Sign-off(TM) physical analysis solutions for the
semiconductor and electronics industry, today announced an OEM
agreement that enables Celestry's circuit simulator customers to debug
faster and determine the causes of circuit design defects more easily.
Celestry has integrated its billion transistor UltraSim(TM) circuit
simulator with Novas' Debussy® Total Debug System and is also
bundling Novas' nWave(TM) waveform viewer with UltraSim.
``Novas boosts IC design productivity by reducing debug time -- the
most expensive part of the verification process,'' said Scott Sandler,
president and CEO of Novas. ``To ensure designers can readily tap our
Debussy total debug solution, we continue to extend our collaboration
with leading EDA vendors. Our key emphasis is interoperability between
tools. With this latest agreement, Debussy users can work seamlessly
with UltraSim, and Celestry's circuit simulator users can take
advantage of our debug solution.''
Zhihong Liu, president and CEO of Celestry noted, ``Celestry is
dedicated to delivering a breadth of circuit design tools that meet
the requirements of the industry's most sophisticated designers. By
aligning with Novas, we provide our customers with the best debug
capabilities while we focus on delivering solutions for creating the
highest performance circuits.''
Celestry has integrated UltraSim with nWave through Debussy's open
integration interfaces. UltraSim puts simulation results directly into
the Novas Open Fast Signal Database (FSDB(TM)) format. Users can
display circuit simulation results using the nWave waveform viewer.
nWave is a component of Novas' comprehensive Debussy debug system.
Debussy users can readily locate, isolate and understand the causes of
errors in Verilog, VHDL and mixed designs at the RTL, gate and
testbench levels to speed debugging and cut the cost of verification.
Pricing and Availability
UltraSim with the nWave bundle is available now from Celestry for
Sun Solaris, HP-UX and the Windows NT operating systems. Prices start
at $50,000 (USD) and depend on the configuration, options and use
model. The complete Debussy debug system is available from Novas.
